Origins and early years

The Froma, living on the planet Chize in the Delee System, in the Milky Way, developed as large and tall (7'6" on average). This was caused by the gamma radiation emitted by their sun.^[1]

Modern Age

Learning of the Earth's planned flight to the moon, Edam, Gouda and two other members of the Froma arrived on Earth to destroy the rocket in order to prevent the discovery of their moon base. Their landing was observed for Tony Stark. Stark, as Iron Man, confronted the four Froma, and after a short battle, drove them off. The Froma planned to evacuate their base on the moon, and locate another planet.^[2]

Froma fled a Zn'rx war and took refuge on an ice world at the edge of an unidentified system, where they founded a settlement. Freyja, God of Hunt, felled a great beast after hearing their prayers to their own deity.^[3]

Levitation: The Froma are able to psionically levitate.

The Froma possess about ten times the strength of an average Earth man. A typical member can lift (press) approximately 2,000 lbs.

• Ray Rifles: The Froma have used ray rifles which project blasts of an unknown energy.
• Saucer Ship: The Froma arrived on Earth in a small saucer-shaped spacecraft.

Consumer society with tradition of off-world economic exploitation.^{[citation needed]} The Froma seemingly made a complete use of killed animals.

Religion

The Froma had their own god to whom they prayed for help in hard times. The Asgardian God of the Hunt Freyja acted as an instrument of their deity, felling a great beast in response to their prayers for food.^[3]

• Names related to the Froma follow a cheese motif, possibly in reference to the common folklore that the Earth's Moon is made of cheese:
  • Their species is named after the French word for cheese, "fromage".
  • The name of their home planet, Chize, phonetically resembles the word "cheese", and the Delee system is probably named for a "deli" where cheese is sold.
  • Their representatives Gouda, Edam, Colby, and Havarti are all named for varieties of cheese.
