Synopsis
After being resurrected by Death, Thanos acquires the six Infinity Gems and kills half the life in the universe in her honor with the Infinity Gauntlet. Adam Warlock leads Earth's Mightiest Heroes against the Mad Titan.

- Thanos's attempts to wield the Infinity Gauntlet were stated to be cosmic level threats.[3]
- The event became known as the "Infinity Gauntlet Affair" or "The Case of Thanos v The Universe", and was cited in the Bailey Briggs Murder Trial in order to allow a ghost to take the stand in court, considering everyone, even apart from the superhuman community, might rejoin the living after their death.[1]
Trivia
- This event is the first part in a trilogy of events, with the other two parts being "Infinity War" and "Infinity Crusade".
- Due to its popularity, "The Infinity Gauntlet" has been adapted multiple times in Marvel video games, animated shows, and live-action films. Most notably, the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame loosely adapted the story as the culmination of all their films up to that point, collectively called "The Infinity Saga".
