The Falcon is a winged super-hero who acts as the partner of Captain America. Originally, social worker Sam Wilson adopted the Falcon identity. Being altered by the reality-shaping Cosmic Cube, Wilson is mentally bonded with his pet falcon, Redwing, and can extend this link to other birds. He also is capable of flight using mechanical wings designed by the Black Panther. After becoming Captain America, Wilson relinquished the mantle of the Falcon to Joaquín Torres, a Mexican immigrant whose physiology has been fused with Redwing's by mad scientist Dr. Karl Malus. Developing organic wings and flight abilities, Torres went on to become the partner of the all-new Captain America.
