To be placed next to character appearances in comic issues. These characters appear in a recap flashback but also appear in the current storyline.

All Recap tags will sort the character into the "Appearances" subcategory by default.

Users should differentiate between flashbacks that add something new to continuity or not. Flashbacks can be described in different ways:

A brand new flashback that reveals something new and previously unrevealed (Adding to continuity).

A flashback that recaps a past event that has been previously seen in another story (Not adding to continuity).

Or, a flashback that recaps a past event but adds a new element to those past events. Example: Spider-Man's origin is originally told in Amazing Fantasy #15, there are retellings in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #60, Marvel Graphic Novel #46, Web of Spider-Man #90, Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine #1, and Amazing Spider-Man #94 all retell this origin, but add new details that were not revealed in the original story. As such they ADD chronology.

Please make the distinction before using the Recap or Flashback tags. Proper formatting is as follows:
